Goat Rehoming Policies

We do not offer exchanges or returns on baby goat purchase.  If you would like to buy a baby goat from us, you can either get them as bottle babies, or pay a deposit of 50% and pick them up when they are 8 weeks old by paying the remaining 50%. If your circumstances change and do not pick up the baby goat within a given time period, you lose your deposit.  Note that there is no price difference between bottle babies and weaned babies.

We do not disbud our goats. If you want your goats disbudded, you have to pick them up before they are 5 days old, get them disbudded by a vet and bottle-feed them afterwards.

We give our baby goats their first dose of CDT when they are two weeks old, and the booster when they are six weeks old. We offer a complimentary banding (wethering) of bucklings when they are two months old if you want them as pets. We tag animals before they leave our homestead. We accept only in-person payments for the goats either in cash or by Venmo once you see the baby goat.

Poultry Breeds we offer*

*All of our poultry are NPIP certified.

Ice Cream Bar

Ice Cream Bar is a cross breed of Crested Cream Legbar and Silverrudd Blue. We fell in love with the Crested Cream Legbar breed and drove a couple of hours to CT to pick up two pullets in June 2021. We love everything about the breed.

We also love ice cream, so when we heard of a breed called Ice Cream Bar, we had to have them. Our Ice Cream Bar chicken a green egg.

Large fowl Cochin/frizzle

This is a special dual-Purpose breed. They are docile and friendly. They are very cold-hardy due to their abundant, loose-fitting plumage.

Isbar/Silverrudd Blue

Isbar chickens are known for their hardiness, beauty, and egg-laying capabilities. The Isbar is one of the only chicken breeds to naturally lay green eggs.

Legbar

Legbars have been a favorite breed of ours for a while. We are so happy to finally be able to offer white frosted Legbar. The white frosted Legbar is one of the rarest and most actively desired breeds of chickens right now.

American Bresse

American Bresse Chickens are the world’s most delicious chicken. Bresse are very beautiful birds with white feathers, red combs and blue steel legs. American Bresse is a dual purpose breed and the perfect sustainable bird for any homestead. They are slower to grow for meat, but the flavor of the meat is worth the wait.

Silver Deathlayers

The Deathlayer is a very productive layer and one of the most beautiful chicken breeds. Our line is from Spectrum Poultry, who got them Greenfire Farms.
